Calvin Cressman

he/him/his

Master’s Student in Clinical Psychology STARTING FALL 2025

Calvin recently obtained his Masters of Science in Forensic Psychology from Ontario Tech University. His CGS-M SSHRC funded dissertation explored staff and patient perceptions of barriers to sex and intimacy in an intimacy recovery service. His current research focuses on sexual violence, with an emphasis in two key areas: 1) improving measurement tools that assess the risk of sexually violent behaviour, and 2) evaluating the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs for individuals who commit sexually violent crimes. For his project, Calvin is attempting to increase the ability of the Revised Screening Scale for Pedophilic Interests (SSPI-2) to identify pedophilia by developing and testing a series of indicators reflecting emotional identification with children. He also works as a research analyst in the Sexual Behaviour Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

Angelina Heidebrecht

she/her

My name is Angelina and I graduated from the Specialized Honours Psychology Program at York University in June 2023. Since graduating, I have focused my efforts on exploring my interests and gaining valuable experiences that will support my pursuit of graduate school. I have volunteered in various cognitive, developmental, and social psychology labs, which has allowed me to bring an integrated perspective to my research. More recently, I have begun volunteering as a research assistant in the Sexual Behaviours Clinic at CAMH. I have a strong passion for intervention-based research to promote long-term behavioural change whereby individuals can identify and adjust harmful behaviours and avoid legal consequences. In addition to my academic interests, I love going for long walks, spending time with friends, and watching all sorts of documentaries!
